Public Meeting re Strathkinness Low Road Crossroads and B939 at Blebo Craigs **NOTE change of date**

Following our discussion at the Community Council meeting on the 3rd October
arrangements have been made to hold a public meeting with Willie Rennie
MSP in Strathkinness Village Hall on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm.

Mr Rennie's office is contacting Fife Council officers and the Police to invite them to attend.

Roadworks on A91 between Cupar and Guardbridge from October 2024 for one year

Ward Councillors attended a meeting at the Eden Campus where
Scottish Power Energy Networks outlined plans for a major upgrade to the
electricity supply to Guardbridge and St Andrews.   This involves laying
two large cables underground along the A91 road, which will mean one
lane being closed for a stretch of about 150 metres at a time while the
trench is dug and then resurfaced.

There will be inevitable delays on the A91 which is likely to increase
traffic substantially on the B939 and also on the Kemback/Strathkinness
road.

A new substation will be built in the car park across the road from the
Eden Campus , so there will also be lane closures on the main road in
Guardbridge when the cables are laid there.

The electricity upgrade will increase the supply to this area and allow
more EV charging points to be installed as well as providing the extra
load required in coming years as homes transit away from fossil fuel
heating to heat pumps.
